Updating your school calendar is important. Correctly configuring exclusion dates in SchoolMint Hero will help you avoid assigning an action to a student during a date when no actions can take place. Exclusion dates are specific dates or date ranges not requiring reactions—for example, school holidays, teacher work days, or weekends when students are not present.
Recurring Exclusion Dates
- To set recurring exclusion dates, navigate to Config > Reactions.
- Select the pencil icon on an existing Reaction to edit exclusion dates.
3. Click on "Edit Days"
4. On the next screen, you can select approved days by toggling "Add" and selecting days a Reaction CAN happen or select exclusion days by toggling "Remove" and selecting days when a Reaction CANNOT happen.
5. Click Save.
Ad-Hoc Exclusion Dates
If you need to remove one day from a reaction, not a recurring day, you can edit exclusion dates directly on the calendar.
1. Navigate to the calendar by selecting the calendar icon in the upper right corner of any screen.
2. Click the Type dropdown on the left side of the screen. Select "Reactions"
3. After selecting Reactions, all scheduled Reactions will appear on the calendar. Select a Reaction you wish to remove from the calendar by clicking directly on the Reaction.
4. If there are no students assigned to the Reaction for that day, you can select the trashcan icon to remove the Reaction from being scheduled for that specific day.
5. You will see a confirmation text box at the bottom of the calendar after removing the Reaction.
