Before mapping student schedules, ensure you have taken the steps to import user & student information:
Schedule Import Instructions
You can manually upload student data via one-time flat file sharing or set up an automated import using SFTP.
- Navigate to Config > Imports
- Click on the Settings button in the upper right corner. Then select New Import in the upper right corner of the next page.
On the Import Settings page, make the following selections for a District-level import:
- Select Group Level or School Level (depending on if the import is for the entire organization/district or for one school)
- Choose your district from the next dropdown. (The system will display a blue "Account Found" text box. If the system does not display "Account Found," you need to set up your SFTP following these instructions.) Choose your school, if doing a School Level import.
- Select Schedule Import
- Select One Time if importing a one-time flat file or Daily if setting up automatic student imports via SFTP. IF SFTP, choose the Start Time and Date (usually the current day).
- Enter the email address of the user doing the import.
- Save Settings
3. On the right side of the Import Settings page, select the relevant boxes:
- Has Header - Check this if the import file has a header row
8. Determine if the upload should allow for any errors. This can be useful for large files with some broken data that cannot be easily cleaned.
9. Select the file for upload or type in the exact file name for SFTP. Then click the Upload from Cloud button if importing via SFTP.
If importing via SFTP, type the name of the student file in File Name exactly as it is on the SFTP (i.e. students.csv). Important: The import file name CANNOT contain spaces. For example, the file name "School import list.csv" will NOT import whereas, "Schoolimportlist.csv" will import. |
10. Complete Mapping.
Mapping Guidance
- The first four rows of data will appear here to guide how the row should be mapped.
- Use the dropdown selector to choose the correct field for mapping. After selecting a field, it will disappear from the list for future selections.
- Fields with a red asterisk are required to complete the mapping.
Schedule Days
Different schedule days (A Days & B Days, for example) can also be imported. Learn more about Schedule Days here.
11. Click Save & Run Now.
