This article explains how to track students in SchoolMint Hero for various role types. Navigate to the relevant role type here:
Tracking for Administrators & Non-Rostered staff
After logging into SchoolMint Hero, a user without rosters will see the Dashboard homepage. There are two ways to track a student from this screen: (1) Track a Student or (2) via Behavior > Students.
- To track a student from the Track a Student box, type in information about an individual student (first name, last name or ID Number) or search for a group of students within a specific grade. Click "Search."
- Select the student or students you want to track and click on the blue "Track Student(s)" button that appears to the right of the search boxes.
- Select the type of Behavior Code (positive, negative, neutral, or tardy) to view all relevant Behavior Codes for that type. Select the Behavior Code and click "Track."
Via the Students page
1. To track a student directly from the Students page, click on Behavior > Students in the navigation bar.
2. Search for a student or specific grade level and select the relevant student(s). Click "Track Student(s)."
3. Select the type of Behavior Code (positive, negative, neutral, or tardy) to view all relevant Behavior Codes for that type. Select the Behavior Code and click "Track."
Tracking for Teachers
After logging into SchoolMint Hero, a teacher will see their class rosters. If you are a teacher who teaches across multiple class periods, you will see each of your class rosters organized into groups for each class period.
- To track students, select one or multiple students by clicking on their respective button(s). Student buttons will turn blue when selected and a "Track Student(s)" box will appear next to the roster groups.
2. Click on the "Track Student(s)" button to open the Behavior Tracking dialogue box. Select the type of Behavior Code (positive, negative, neutral, or tardy) to view all relevant Behavior Codes for that type. Select the Behavior Code and click "Track."
Tip! Teachers are not limited to only tracking students on their rosters. Teachers can search for any student via Behaviors > Students. |
