Event Overview
SchoolMint Hero allows users to track student attendance at school-sponsored Events. This article provides a guide on using the Events module in SchoolMint Hero.
Starting an Event
If you are a staff member who is in charge of signing students in and out of Events, you can find the Events list by
- Navigating to Behavior > Events
- Select the Open button on the applicable Event
- Select the Start button within the Event
Checking Students Into an Event
Once an Event has been opened and started, you can begin checking students into and out of the Event. If an event has been set up to be Open to All students, you will use the + Students button to search for students who are attending the Event. If the Event list has already been predetermined, those students will show in the Event upon opening.
To check students into an Event, simply click on the Check In button on the Student List. If a Student leaves an Event, you can use the Check Out button to capture their exit time as well. As shown below, both Check In and Check Out buttons are time-stamped so that staff members can see the history of a student’s attendance at an Event.
Once an Event is over, you can select the End Event button at the top of the page to close it out.
Event History
If you would like to see the history of an event, navigate to Behavior > Event > History. If your Event is recurring, you will see each day that the Event was opened.
By selecting the blue eye icon, you will be directed to the full Event History page, which includes details and student attendance.
