What are Raffle Drawings?
Students can redeem Hero points for raffle entries. We recommend considering factors like the prizes, number of winners, frequency of raffles, and how to announce winners. This allows students to choose how they'd like to spend their points without the need to keep full inventory stocked in a school store.
Building a Raffle
STEP 1: Determine at least one incentive to raffle off
STEP 2: Determine the entry cost of a raffle drawing
STEP 3: Create a Behavior Code for the raffle item(s)
Creating a Behavior Code for a Raffle
- To build any type of Incentive Code, first navigate to Reactions via Config > Reactions.
- Create a new Reaction by selecting the green "+ Add" button in the upper right-hand corner.
3. Name the Reaction something like "Raffle Drawing." Enter text in the Message on Pass box. Do not enable compliance Reactions. Click Save.
4. Navigate to the Behavior Code page via Config > Behavior Codes. Select "Create Behavior Code" in the upper right-hand corner.
5. Enter a Code Name and add information in the Description and Message on Pass boxes. Select the Reaction you created previously in the dropdown on the right side of the screen. Then, enter the "cost" of the raffle ticket using a negative number (this represents how many points will be deducted when a student purchases a raffle drawing). Keep other boxes as is. Click save.
Tip! Instead of providing a paper raffle ticket to a student, you can use the Daily Activity Report to select a random winner for that specific incentive purchase. |
