What is a Virtual Coupon?
A virtual coupon is an award built into a Behavior Matrix as a Reaction. After a student receives a set number of Behavior Code entries, they can receive a Virtual Coupon. Some examples of Virtual Coupons include:
- Jump the Lunch Line
- Free Homework Pass
- Dress Down Day Pass
How to Create a Virtual Coupon
- To build any type of Incentive Code, first navigate to Reactions via Config > Reactions.
- Create a new Reaction by selecting the green "+ Add" button in the upper right-hand corner of the Reactions page.
- Name the first Reaction something like "Default Coupon Reaction." Enter text in the Message on Pass box.
- Click Save
- Create an additional Reaction for each Virtual Coupon you want to offer.

For example, create a Reaction named "Virtual Coupon - Jump the Lunch Line". Enter text in the Message on Pass box.
Toggle ON "Enable Compliance Reaction" and enter information in the boxes that appear below the toggle:

- Days until the Reaction begins: Must be at least "1"
- Limit number of students: Must have a positive number. If there is no limit, simply input a large number.
- Days when Reaction can happen: Indicate which days of the week this award can be redeemed.
Note: Days until reaction begins must be at least "1".
Click Save.

Next, Navigate to Behavior Codes via Config > Behavior Code.
- Create a new Behavior Code by selecting "Create Behavior Code" in the upper right-hand corner.
- Build the code, naming it something like "Virtual Coupon for X event."
- Add the default Reaction you created previously. Add 1 point when this Reaction is triggered. Don't change any other boxes. Click save.
11. Edit the Virtual Coupon Behavior Code to add additional Reactions.
12. Select "Add" in the Reactions row.
13. Add the additional Reactions you created previously and determine the number of occurrences to initiate the Virtual Coupon.
Here is an example of a built-out Virtual Coupon Behavior Matrix with compliable Reactions added.
